Phi Phi Islands Full-Day Tour & ZCoCo Private Beach

Phi Phi in a day — iconic bays, hidden lagoons & your own private beach.

⏱ Full Day, ~10–11 hrs 👥 Join-in group tour 🌐 English, Mandarin, Thai

Overview

Phi Phi Island needs no introduction. Made world-famous by the film The Beach, it has captured travelers' imaginations for decades. But a truly great Phi Phi tour goes far beyond the famous spots — and that's exactly what this full-day experience delivers.

Starting from Phuket, you'll cruise by speedboat through turquoise waters to Phi Phi's most iconic locations, finishing at VGA's own exclusive ZCoCo private beach. A light breakfast (coffee, tea and snacks) is served at pickup, and lunch is served around midday once you reach Phi Phi.

Phi Phi gets more tour boats than any other destination we run trips to, which is exactly why the ZCoCo stop matters — it's the part of the day where you get the crowd-free island time that most Phi Phi day trips don't include. If a quieter, more low-key island day matters more to you than ticking off the famous names, our Khai Islands tour is the better fit; if you want both the icons and a private-beach finish in one day, this is it.

Where You'll Go

Stop 1

Maya Bay

The legendary bay made famous by "The Beach." Walk its white sand shores and photograph the dramatic limestone cliffs, ringed on three sides by sheer rock. Landing is closed Aug 1–Sep 30 annually for marine conservation — during that window the boat still takes you past Maya Bay for distance sightseeing and photos, just without going ashore.

Stop 2

Pileh Lagoon

A hidden emerald-green lagoon enclosed by towering cliffs. Swim in its dazzling waters, cut off from the world — this is usually the stop guests photograph the most, since the cliffs on all sides make the water look almost unnaturally bright.

Stop 3

Viking Cave

Ancient wall paintings and thousands of swiftlet nests cover the cave walls — a glimpse into the island's history.

Stop 4

Monkey Beach

Playful macaques roam freely here — observe them from a safe distance for a uniquely wild encounter. Keep bags zipped and food out of sight; the macaques are used to boats arriving and aren't shy about investigating anything left within reach.

Stop 5

ZCoCo Private Beach

VGA's exclusive private beach — escape the crowds completely and relax in paradise.

Good to Know Before You Book

Landing at Maya Bay is closed every year from August 1 to September 30 for marine conservation — boats can still approach for distance sightseeing and photos during this window, just without going ashore. Please observe wildlife from a safe distance, especially the monkeys at Monkey Beach; do not feed or touch animals. The speedboat ride can be bumpy on rough sea days — bring seasickness tablets if you're sensitive. Phi Phi is a protected national park; please don't touch or stand on coral reefs.

Not suitable for: pregnant women, people with back or heart problems, severe seasickness.

What to bring: swimwear, towel, cash, reef-safe sunscreen, hat or cap, seasickness tablets if sensitive.

Best Time to Visit

Outside the Maya Bay closure window (August 1–September 30), the dry season from November to April gives the calmest crossing and best underwater visibility for snorkeling at the other stops. The wet season (May to October, minus the Maya Bay closure) brings shorter afternoon showers rather than all-day rain, and the tour still runs — the open-sea crossing to Phi Phi is longer than our Racha or Khai routes, so if you're prone to seasickness, bring tablets regardless of season.

Why Book Direct With VGA

We're a locally-run Phuket operator, not a reseller — the boat, guides and stops (including ZCoCo Private Beach) are the same whether you book here or through one of our OTA listings. VGA has been running tours out of Phuket for more than 10 years, with over 1,000 tours a month across our full program lineup. Booking directly means your questions go straight to our team on WhatsApp or Line, which is the fastest way to confirm a pickup detail or ask about the Maya Bay closure before you travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Maya Bay open on the day I'm visiting?

Landing at Maya Bay is closed every year from August 1 to September 30 for marine conservation. Outside that window, you walk the beach as Stop 1. During the closure, the boat still stops offshore for distance sightseeing and photos — you just won't go ashore.

What if I get seasick?

The crossing to Phi Phi is longer than our Racha or Khai trips and can be bumpy on rough sea days. Bring seasickness tablets if you're prone to it — severe seasickness is listed as one of the conditions this tour isn't suitable for.

Is snorkeling gear included?

Yes — life jackets and snorkeling equipment are included in the tour price.

Is alcohol available onboard?

Alcoholic beverages aren't included in the tour price. Drinking water and soft drinks are included throughout the day.

Do you pick up from my hotel?

Hotel pickup and drop-off is included. Tell us your hotel when you inquire and we'll confirm your pickup time.

What's the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour starts.

What exactly is ZCoCo Private Beach?

It's a beach VGA has exclusive access to for this tour — not open to other operators or the public. It's the deliberate quiet finish to a day that's otherwise spent among Phi Phi's busier, more famous sites.

Can children join this tour?

Children age 4 and up are welcome, subject to the seasickness and medical considerations noted above. The open-sea crossing is longer than our Racha or Khai routes, so mention a young child's age when you inquire if you want our honest read on whether the crossing is a good fit.
